Additional:
From Coach John Fiorelli:
Susie had two
great years at St. Mark's -- All State her junior year and
Player of the Year her senior year. She had a great
advantage having guard skills with a 6'1 frame.
Against Ursuline in the '91 Final, she was able to bring the
ball up against their pressure and throw it over the top
because of her size. She was a great team leader, very
positive, and a hard, hard worker who especially encouraged
the young girls on our team. She averaged over ten points
per game, and because of her size, got quite a few rebounds
and blocks for us, too. Married to former Sallies
baseball player and now head baseball coach at Haverford
College, Dave Beccaria. Susie assisted at Haverford
with women's basketball for a few years, too.
Regarding her time at Mount
St. Mary's:
Susie

1,502), rebounding (seventh; 766) and blocked shots (eighth;
67)...Became the first women’s basketball player in league
history be awarded consecutive NEC Scholar-Athlete of the
Year honors...Recipient
of the Mount’s Monsignor Sheridan Award for outstanding
student athlete, and received an NCAA Post-graduate
