Hey Jim,
Kelley Doogan (Ursuline Academy Varsity)
Jim,
I am writing this e-mail to applaud this fine project of yours. I have been out of high school coaching for a couple of years and was unaware of the site's existence until our game at Brandywine the other night. I assist coach Jones at Hodgson.
I have been reading all that you offer on the site and I am profoundly impressed by it's quality. Your writing is exceptional and it is obvious that your intentions with regard to promoting girls basketball in Delaware are sincere, competent and way overdue.
You are right on when you referenced the communication opening up with college coaches. While coaching at King's College in Wilkes Barre, I discovered that it was not enough to just go out and watch kids play to be able to properly evaluate them. The kind of contact that you maintain on a regular basis seems to allow you a better view of some of the players and the information that you can provide a college coach is very hard to find. Your unbiased view (evaluation) of the kids tends to lend credibility to your opinions and will build trust with the college coaches.
Please keep up the great work. And Thanks!

Jim, I am the head girls' basketball coach for the brand new Appoquinimink Jaguars basketball program. We only have a freshmen team as of now, but we will be a varsity program in two years. First off, I'd like to thank you for your coverage of DE girls' basketball. I am new to the state of Delaware and know very little about the basketball programs around here. Of course I know Delle Donne and Ursuline and Chelsea Davis and Middletown since they are right down the road. But your site gives me an expanded look into the programs here. Keep up the good work Jim! Daniel PisaniAlfred G. Waters Freshmen Academy Mathematics Teacher Girls' Basketball Coach/Appoquinimink High School
I live in California now, but enjoyed some of the tournament at St. Elizabeth’s over the holiday and am following the sport as much as I can. Your web site is a big help. My niece will be starting HS hoops in DE next season and it is nice to see how serious folks in DE take this exciting sport. Having coached both boys and girls, I am always impressed with the amount of heart and passion girls can bring to a sport. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Hello Jim, I am finally getting to something that I have wanted to do for some time, send you this note. I want to thank you for being such a strong advocate for girls sports and providing a platform to raise awareness of female athletics via the “Delaware Girls Basketball” web site. In a time when female sports are overlooked at times, it is nice to see that there are people like yourself that are committed to illustrating the positive aspects associated with local girls engaged in sports. Although we have never met, it seems like I know you as a result of you being the topic of discussion among parents on my daughters AAU basketball team, as well as other “Delaware basketball people”. It’s always a similar conversation. Jim is a very nice guy who really loves basketball and truly cares about the kids. And for that, I thank you.Joe Gallagher

Your site is awesome - it keeps me updated on girls b-ball
better than the News Journal!
Your website is a great idea - I hope the girls basketball teams
in Delaware appreciate what they have in your website. Holy Saviour-St. John Fisher Basketball
Dear friends at Delaware Girls Basketball:
I am a new Ursuline b'ball mom - my daughter is freshman swing player, Lauren Baker, and our family has really enjoyed visiting your web site to read your enthusiasm about girls hoops. The girls on the team seem to love the attention you give them. It's all good!
Go Raiders! Annie Baker
Jim -
Our entire team would like to thank you for all of the articles
that you wrote about our team this past year. The girls really
look forward the reading them on your website.
Jim, Wanted to take a moment to Thank You and Tom for all you do to promote girls basketball at both the CYM and High School level. Your dedication and insight to the game and players is greatly appreciated.
I also want to thank you for the article on the CYM Championship game – while disappointed in the Final outcome I could not be more proud of what our team (for that matter both our C level teams) accomplished this year and how much all the girl’s progressed.
Good Luck in the Future, Dennis M. Salter St. Joseph on the Brandywine
